"I finally agreed to make a video showing my synthesizer studio. I'm NOT a collector, so you'll see the instruments I've used for over four decades to do my work. It's also my space for composing. In this deep dive studio tour, I walk you through every corner of my space, showing how everything’s connected for performing, recording, and creative flow.

You’ll see icons like the 'Plantasia' Moog Modular IIIc, Synclavier II, Rhodes Chroma with Expander & Enabler, Oberheim Four Voice, Elka Synthex, Roland Jupiter 8, Sequential Circuits Prophet-5, ARP 2600s, Korg MS modular synths, some classic Minimoog — plus a few modern synths I’ve added as I look to the future. Alongside the synths are vintage drum machines, string machines, and rare electric keyboards including a 1973 Fender Rhodes Suitcase and Hohner Clavinet/Pianet Duo.

We'll also explore racks of outboard gear, vocoder units, tape echoes, and a vast array of my custom guitar pedal options, efx pedal boards and studio effects racks that make this room endlessly inspiring. I'll also reveal how my entire studio is designed for instant creativity, featuring 48 channels of synth drivers and stage boxes, so any synth can be patched and recorded on the fly."

“Vangelmon” - a Vangelis tribute with Strymon Cloudburst and Sequential Pro3

"The new Strymon Cloudburst it’s an instant inspiring new reverb. It immediately inspired me to craft this new patch on my Pro3 and called 'Vangelmon' a tribute to Vangelis. This reverb sound reminded me about his music.
The sound it’s entirely produced by the Sequential Pro3 with reverbs and fx, other than Cloudburst I used the Microcosm by Hologram Electronics for the pluck rhythm at the bottom.
Maybe it’s going to be a track in the future. Who knows !!

"This piece was created using ‪@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC‬ MORPHAGENE, ‪@teenageengineering‬ OP-1 field, and ‪@SequentialLLC‬ Prophet-10. It unfolds as a quiet minimal ambient composition that gradually converges into a distorted piano loop.

In the modular synthesizer, a sampled piano is played back on MORPHAGENE, with its output split into two paths. One signal passes through a Clouds clone, while the other is processed through ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ GENERATION LOSS MKII, adding saturation and a tape-like effect.

On the OP-1 field, a sequence is played using the ENDLESS sequencer, with manual filter adjustments opening and closing the tone throughout the performance.

The Prophet-10 is performed with reverb applied through the ‪@strymon‬ blueSky, adding depth and atmosphere to the sound."

"A piece created with electric kalimba, OP-1 field, and Prophet-10 — an ambient session featuring the distorted feedback tones of the kalimba and lo-fi synth pads.

The electric kalimba uses the LOTTIE CANTO COLOUR PALETTE. Its sound is processed with delay via ‪@strymon‬ TIMELINE and reverb via blueSky.

On the Prophet-10, a noise-infused synth pad is performed. The output is treated with reverb and filtering through ‪@strymon‬ NIGHTSKY, then processed with ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ GENERATION LOSS MKII to add wow and flutter effects, creating a warm lo-fi texture.

On the OP-1 field, harmonic synth pads are recorded and processed with ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ MOOD MKII, adding overall delay and micro-loop effects to complete the atmosphere."

Strymon SuperKar+ (Part 4) Chord Voice w/ Magneto, BitBox Micro, XPO, and ZPO

"The ‪@strymon‬ SuperKar+ Chord Voice through a Strymon Magneto. Percussion is from a BitBox Micro, bass is from a Make Noise XPO, and the background synth voice is from a Steady State Fate ZPO.

Loops are from Ableton Live, with a Korg SQ-64 acting as a MIDI to CV converter. Ableton's clock is randomized by CV Tools stepped-random LFOs. The Strymon Magneto is clocked by the kick drum trigger. Reverb is from Ableton Live. Recorded in one take.

SuperKar+ is a Eurorack voice module that uses Karplus-Strong synthesis to create the sound of plucked or bowed strings, struck or blown pipes or tubes, or a suite of other sounds."

Ambient with Pelle Mode Nord Lead & OP-1 field : Fluvial Terrace 2025-10-19 by atnr

"A piece created with the ‪@NordKeyboards‬ Nord Lead and ‪@teenageengineering‬ OP-1 field — an ambient track built from distorted tones generated in the Nord Lead’s Pelle mode and lo-fi synth pads.

The Nord Lead, when set to Pelle mode, produces an unusually aggressive tone. Its output passes through the ‪@strymon‬ NightSky for reverb and filtering.

On the OP-1 field, a 16-bar synth loop was recorded and played back at a slower tape speed, layering additional sounds during performance. The output is processed through the ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ Lossy to achieve a lo-fi texture.

How to Enable Pelle Mode on the Nord Lead 1

1.Set Program A to 19 and Program B to 65.
2.Hold down SYSTEM, then press SHIFT.
3.While keeping both buttons held, press SET, then press PERF. MODE.
(Keep SYSTEM and SHIFT held the entire time.)

If you hear a clicking sound, Pelle Mode has been successfully activated.
If the program number displays 75, the attempt failed — this happens when CLEAR is pressed instead of SET."

"A piece created with ‪@SequentialLLC‬ Prophet-10, ‪@MoogSynthesizers‬ Moog One, ‪@NordKeyboards‬ Nord Lead, and ‪@YamahaSynthsOfficial‬ CP-88 — a work of minimal music built from overlapping sequenced phrases that gradually evolve in tone and texture.

All synthesizers are played via MIDI sequences from Ableton Live.

On the Prophet-10, the filter cutoff and resonance are manually adjusted, with the output processed through the ‪@strymon‬ blueSky for reverb.

The Moog One’s EG Amount and waveform Mix parameters are manipulated during playback.

The Nord Lead is processed through the ‪@gfisys‬ Specular Tempus for rich reverb.

At the end of the piece, a deep reverb is added across the entire mix using ‪@ValhallaDSP‬ Valhalla Shimmer in the DAW."

"A piece created with Nintendo Game Boy, ‪@buchlausa‬ Music Easel, and ‪@KORG_INC‬ microKORG S — an ambient electronica track where looping sequences intertwine with random phrases and hand-played harmonies.

The Game Boy runs LSDj, repeating a simple sequence while adding delay using the TIMELINE.

The Music Easel plays arpeggiated phrases, processed through the MOOD MKII with pitch-shift and SLIP effects.

The microKORG S performs synth pads using a long-release tone.

Additionally, in Ableton, field recordings are loaded into the Wavetable synth to create layered pad textures that blend into the performance."

CyDrums provides the even kick, short-decay hi-hats, and toms. The sound is processed with filter and reverb using the ‪@strymon‬ NIGHTSKY, and compression is added via the ALESIS 3630.

The Moog One performs the bassline, while the Nord Lead handles the harmony. The Nord Lead runs through the ‪@gfisys‬ Specular Tempus for reverb."

"Two patches with the solo voice section of the Strymon SuperKar+ 32-voice string synthesis module, running through a Strymon Magneto delay module. The background synth pad is from a Moog Mavis. Reverb and additional filters are from Ableton Live. Ableton's clock is stopped and is only being used as a mixer for the session. Both patches are sequenced with a Korg SQ-64."
