Under the mossy stone | Prophet 10 ambient improvisation
video upload by MIDERA
"Sequential Prophet 10 improvisation / soundscape.
I bought an anamorphic lens (Sirui 50mm T2.9) to test out with my camera, because now I have something that will actually hook up to one of these (to my mirrorless camera). Needed to do a test run. It was honestly very difficult to figure out how to get the footage imported and 'desqueezed' using Kdenlive, but eventually I got there!

Unsync - 3 Semi-Modular Analog Synths (0-Coast, Taiga & DFAM) sequenced by Hapax
video upload by 2-Minute Warning
"This time I wanted to experiment with a rather unusual setup: 3 semi-modular analog monosynths playing together. My goal wasn't to make the melody complex, but rather the rhythm. I tried to build a piece that sounds fairly simple on the surface, while hiding polymeters and polyrhythms underneath 😎
On paper, it doesn't sound like the most obvious setup: one synth for plucks, one for bass, one for percussion... and somehow convincing them to play nicely together!
The Hapax is sequencing the whole performance. At one point I activate its MIDI Euclid effect on the bass sequence to introduce a bit of rhythmic tension before bringing everything back to the original groove.
The DFAM is also receiving CV from the Hapax to transpose Oscillator 1 so that its pitch follows the bass line. Since the DFAM is usually thought of as a percussion synth, I always enjoy pushing it a little outside of its comfort zone 😉
Another thing I wanted to highlight was the Shape control on the Pittsburgh Modular Taiga. Throughout the jam, I gradually morph the bass timbre simply by playing with the oscillator shapes. It's one of my favourite aspects of the Taiga: even a simple bass line can evolve dramatically without touching the sequence itself. The same approach works beautifully for leads and other melodic parts too.
As always, this was performed in a single take. I do the mixing and mastering afterwards in Ableton Live, but I didn't edit or 'fix' the performance itself. What you hear is what was played."

Sequential Prophet 10 musings
video upload by MIDERA
"What a day. To spend it with my kids and wife, it just felt like a perfect day. No day can be bad when your children hand you letters that say 'I love you' on them, with pictures.
What I wrote here... well, it's just junk. Hoped what I wrote would have been better, but that's all I had in me today.

Minimal Ambient with Piano, Tape Loop, and Synth Pads | Memorial Delay 2026-05-27 by atnr
video upload by atnr
"A minimal ambient piece where piano sounds, tape loops, and synth pads overlap.
This work is created with @teenageengineering OP-1 field, @YamahaSynthsOfficial CS01, and tape loops.
On the OP-1 field, bit reduction is applied with the TERMINAL effect to a piano loop performed on the Sampler. Additional piano phrases are played by hand and layered into the piece.
The tape loop uses a one-minute endless tape. A pre-recorded piano performance is played back while pitch shifting and micro loops are layered through the @ChaseBlissAudio MOOD MKII.
On the CS01, sounds with long attack and release settings are performed. Filtering and reverb through the @strymon NIGHTSKY create a synth pad-like texture."

The Delay - TC Flashback Triple, Oberheim OB-6, TRex Replicator, Strymon Cloudburst, Ibanez M80M
video upload by thesrabbit
"I was gonna call this "Lords of O'Brien No. 1", as a tribute to the greatest ambient guitar Youtuber, @chordsoforion But I opted for a less facetious and more utilitarian name. That way I can shamelessly shove the highlighted gear list in the title.
I got a TC Electronic Flashback Triple Delay recently and holy crap, instant inspiration. A bit of fiddling with the Toneprint editor and I had my 3 stacked delays for the main simulated Frippertronics tape loop. Then I said, well hell, I already have a TC Flashback II, might as well Toneprint a Frippertronics tape loop delay in that box too. So the OB-6 gets the Flashback II, and the guitar gets the Flashback Triple. I made a 4 step polyphonic sequence for the OB-6. The little Roland DP-2 switch cycles through each step. The Tonex hosts a capture of my own Peavey 6505 amp, clean channel with pre-gain at 6. There's a little (ok a lot) of Strymon Cloudburst at the end for the final chef's kiss.
Too much gear and too many parallel signal chains to list, but deep breath here we go...
Guitar: Ibanez M80M (8-string), IK Multimedia Tonex, Guptech Honker overdrive, Morley Little Alligator volume pedal, TRex Replicator tape delay eurorack module (somehow works fine at instrument level), Two Notes Torpedo Captor M+ with Ownhammer 412 Rect Balanced Cab IR, TC Electronic Flashback Triple Delay (delay 2 is the tape loop), Strymon Cloudburst Reverb
Synth: Oberheim OB-6, TC Electronic Flashback 2 (tape loop), Audiothingies Doctor A (stereo delay and reverb)
Guitar Synth: Boss SY-300, Strymon Cloudburst Reverb (plugin)
MIDI Mod for iOS adds random delay time shifts to the TRex Replicator via a Kenton MIDI to CV box.
Recorded live, first take! (can't f'ing believe it)
No post processing other than a little bit of the Strymon Cloudburst plugin for the final "glue"

video upload by Freaky Tweaky
"I played around with the EP-136 again today.
While the punch-in FX requires a bit of practice to switch between modes, it's great to be able to operate it with just one finger in the often hectic world of Dawless Jam. Once you get used to it, you can even create your preferred nuances by adjusting the pressure you apply."

Minimal Ambient with Lo-Fi Tape Piano | Ink Stain 2026-05-19 by atnr
video upload by atnr
"A minimal ambient piece featuring resonant lo-fi tape loop piano.
This work is created with Ambient Ø, OP-1 field, and tape loops.
On Ambient Ø, sequence phrases with built-in delay are played in a random order.
On the OP-1 field, a steel pan-like sound is looped using the ENDLESS sequencer. The output is processed with reverb and filtering through the NIGHTSKY.
On the tape loop, a one-minute piano performance is recorded and played back. The signal is processed through the TIMELINE with delay, and the feedback intensity is varied."

Synth post-rock and ambient | Three songs with delay and reverb
video upload by Jay Hosking
"Please support my work on Patreon: / jayhosking
Three different songs focusing on the inspiration of delay and reverb.
MAS Distribution sent over the GFI Solis Ventus, a delay and reverb pedal, for me to try for free. Take that for what you will.
I've already used the Solis Ventus in other video here, so there was no particular need to create a video focused on it. However, I usually explore new gear by just placing it on the table and seeing what comes out. I thought maybe nothing would come of it, or maybe I'd make a single song. In the end, I kept writing more and more with it, all in different styles and genres. The reverbs in the Solis Ventus are fine, but there's some real weirdness and magic in the delays, and they kept delighting and surprising me. In the end, I decided to share three songs with you from these explorations, although there's some more on my Patreon.
00:00 - Post-rock with synths instead of guitar
03:52 - Pure ambient with Pluto
06:17 - Rock starting with L1
Ultimately, what I hope comes through is that effects aren't something simply to colour or smooth over a sound; effects can be the very thing that inspires the songwriting process. That's what happened in all of these instances, and more.
Gear used:
Arturia Astrolab 37 (keys)
GFI Solis Ventus (delay and reverb)
Squier Bass VI (bass-guitar hybrid)
Line 6 Pod Express Bass (for bass amp sim)
Moog Subsequent 37 (mono synth melody)
Novation AFX Station (mono synth lead)
Modern Sounds Pluto (mini euro synth sandbox)
Donner L1 (mono synth random arp)
Godin Session Custom '59 (guitar)
Strymon Iridium (for guitar amp sim)
Union Tone & Transistor Lab (compressor for guitar)
Electro-Voice RE-20 (vocal mic)
Probably more I'm forgetting
Multi-tracked, mixed in the box (except the Pluto song, which was live to stereo out, with EQ, compression, and limiting on the master).
