Sqsl Nashville // Midi Chord Generator App // Review & Walkthrough // iPad and M1 Mac
video upload by Gavinski’s Tutorials
"My walkthrough and review of sqsl Nashville, a MIDI controller app for iPad and M1 or higher Macs, for exploring harmonies, modes, and chord progressions within heptatonic scales. Very clever, as usual from this dev, but also with some limitations, which I discuss in the video."

The Inner Sounds of Tape and iPhone w/ Field Kit, OP-1 field, PO-32 :Check up 2025-09-02 by atnr
video upload by atnr
"A piece created with @teenageengineering OP-1 field, PO-32, and @KOMAelektronik Field Kit. Ambient electronica where drones and noise from a cassette player and iPhone overlap with lo-fi synth loops.
The iPhone and tape player are not connected to anything; instead, an electromagnetic pickup captures internal noise from both devices. The tape player emits drone sounds, while the iPhone produces glitch noise.
On the OP-1 field, synth pad loops are performed and layered with additional recorded takes.
The PO-32 plays rhythm patterns, processed through @ChaseBlissAudio MOOD MK II with delay and pitch-shift effects."

ASM Hydrasynth TouchOSC Bidirectional Editor by synth_nyc

via synth_nyc
"It took me 6 weeks to develop the editor because I had to reverse engineer 3729 Program SYSEX bytes with no specifications; and implement 701 NRPN commands with partial specifications. It is the most complex MIDI implementation I’ve ever seen.

Sqsl Mills // A Quirky ‘Dilla Time’ Midi Sequencer for Mac and iPad by sqsl / Michal Macura
video upload by Gavinski’s Tutorials
"My review and walkthrough of Sqsl Mills. Mills is another quirky midi sequencer from Michal Macura / sqsl / seqsual for M1 Mac and iPad. If you like weird minimalist phasing loops in the vein of Steve Reich, or Dilla-style grooves with unique swing, you might dig this. This is a standalone app, not a plugin, but you can send the midi to control plugins, hardware synths, electric pianos etc.

Super Lofi Sampling - A Quest For Sonic Destruction - Akai S20 Tape & Koala Sampler
video upload by ChrisLody
"If you'd like to support the channel you can grab a 'Pay What You Want' album from my Bandcamp. https://chrislody.bandcamp.com"
"Just for a bit of fun I thought it would be fun to push lofi sampling to it's logical extremes using a Radio Shack cassette deck I found recently. Confusingly the tape deck is a "Radio Shack TRS-80" which I'm sure is also one of their old computer models so I guess this tape deck was originally designed to work with that computer, maybe even sold with it.
The Akai S20 from '97 has some decent features for reducing sample quality further so we can get into really extreme territory!
There's also a tip for making lo-fi samples on the Koala Sampler too."

Oceanic app on the iPAD.
video upload by sonicLAB
"Now Oceanic can control the Oceanic bundle plugins WaveBot, WaveCC and FlangerBot from a remote computer or on iPAD in your local area network. All you need is to type in the IP address of the target computer."
Follow-up to this post.
The new WaveCC can generate PitchBend messages as well.
video upload by sonicLAB
"As PitchBend messages are in 14bit resolution as opposed to the 7bit resolution of Midi CC messages, they can map the wave probe data on a much wider range."

PlantsSystem-AtmosphericLayer
video upload by plantssystem
"PlantsSystem 'Atmospheric Layer' is a song that, as the name suggests, is like a journey through the atmosphere of sound. The constructed soundscape combines a sense of floating and depth by layering the pads of the Sunriser synthesizer. A delicate and expansive sound image is developed, as if layers of clouds were overlapping in a hazy sky.
Breakbeats are used for the backbeat. In contrast to the floating feeling of the pads, the beat has a grounded propulsive force, drawing the listener into the flow of the sound. The discreetly mixed 7th chord gives the song a subtle melancholy and color change, adding shade to the listening experience."

New Loopy Pro 2 Demos & Artist Spotlight
video uploads by Loopy Pro
Playlist:
1. Loopy Pro 2: Polyphonic Clip Playback with MIDI
Explore one of Loopy Pro 2’s most powerful new features: polyphonic clip playback. This tutorial shows how to trigger audio clips using MIDI — either pitched, where each note plays a different pitch of the clip, or sliced, where each note plays a different part of the audio. You’ll learn how to set up MIDI routing to clips, configure playback modes, and fine-tune behavior with features like fade-out-based note decay. We’ll also cover how to use loops as polyphonic targets, letting them sustain while held, and how to add an intro section to act as a sample’s attack before the loop takes over.2. Loopy Pro 2.0: MIDI Loops & Signal Flow Explained
Learn how to harness the power of MIDI loops in Loopy Pro 2.0. This tutorial walks you through connecting a MIDI controller — whether it’s an external keyboard or the new on-screen keyboard — to a MIDI loop for recording and looping MIDI performances. You’ll also learn how to route that loop to an AUv3 instrument or any other MIDI destination to bring your loops to life. Plus, we’ll take a look at the redesigned mixer and demystify the new signal flow system so you can take full control of your setup.3. Loopy Pro 2: Organize Your Mixer with Collapsible Sections & Rows
Loopy Pro 2 introduces powerful new ways to keep your mixer tidy. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to collapse entire sections — like Inputs, Outputs, or Groups — to hide them until you need them. You’ll also see how to collapse individual rows to save space and reduce visual clutter, making it easier to focus on what matters in the moment.

Waldorf Introduces Streichfett for iOS
Sounddemo/Trailer video upload by WaldorfMusicChannel
Waldorf Streichfett String Machine Plugin Walkthrough // Now on iPad & iPhone!
video upload by Gavinski’s Tutorials
via Waldorf
"The legendary String Machine sound of the Waldorf Streichfett is now also available for mobile productions on your iPad and iPhone. There is no compromise in the sound of the Streichfett for iPadOS, you will get the same fat and rich sound as in the hardware and the plugin version of the Streichfett for your music.

The Streichfett for iOS is the perfect instrument for massive string and also delicate nuanced sounds which will lighten up your music. When you want to easily create an impressive lively sound, you simply need the Streichfett for iOS.
Create and Save Your Favorite Presets with Ease
As in the plugin version the clearly structured user interface offers direct access to all important sound shaping parameters. Making and playing music is the main focus here. With a few taps and swipes, drastic sound changes are easily made and can be saved as your favorite presets.
Deep, Dynamic Strings at Your Fingertips
The dual sound engine of the Streichfett features a fully polyphonic String Section and an eight voice Solo Section. The Ensemble Effect provides depth and movement to the String Section, while the Effects Section adds adjustable Phaser and Reverb effects. Additionally, the Animate Effect can be used to modulate the Strings Registration, allowing spectacular sound morphs.
Rich Pads and Unique Sound Morphs Made Simple
The Solo Section offers presets named Bass, E-Piano or Clavi, these are shimmering and slightly percussive sounds that blend well with the String Section. Although the User Interface is simple and easy to comprehend, it controls a rather complex sound engine which is capable of delivering rich and creamy pads unlike any other instrument."

video upload by Gavinski’s Tutorials
"Skulptur, the performance-focused filterbank plugin by Bram Bos and Hainbach (iPad, iPhone, Mac) just got an update allowing you to use it as a midi CC controller for other iOS apps, or for hardware or desktop software etc that are able to receive midi CC messages from your iPad. In this video I look at:
How to set this up
What you can do with it
One change I would like to see to make it more useful
This is a very nice update, great to have this added functionality. If you haven’t watched it yet, and are into apps that can be used as CC midi controllers, watch my video on the new sqsl Strips app for iPad linked below. Not AUv3, but has some very nice features that are not covered by what Skulptur can do, plus a lot more faders:"
