PlantsSystem-JAM

video upload by plantssystem

"PlantsSystem 'JAM' is a groove track that revolves around a minimalist loop structure. The hard beats and repetitive organic samples woven using the MPC-2000 create a simple yet addictive rhythmic space. The aesthetics of blank space and impulsive repetition create a 'music of the moment' that rings out between them."

PlantsSystem-GranCho

video upload by plantssystem

"PlantsSystem – GranCho
Microscopic particles swell, resonate, and eventually melt into a single flow.
'GranCho' is an experimental soundtrack by PlantsSystem, combining elements of 'Granular' and 'Chorus'.
The sound, woven with granular modulation that distorts time and space and deeply enveloping harmonic processing, evokes a sense of floating between electronic and natural.
The interplay of stillness and movement, structure and decay, reveals a different expression with every listen. Digital yet organic—PlantsSystem enters a new sonic realm."

Control Synths from Your Phone: Piano Improv on Blade Runner Riff | iOS MIDI (Beta)

video upload by Cristián R. Villagra

"Live piano improvisation over synth riffs driven by my in-development iOS MIDI control app (no name yet). The app sends MIDI to my computer to play arpeggiators and tweak sound parameters in real time (filters, tone, mix, FX) using on-screen faders, knobs, XY pads, mini keyboards, and pitch bend.

Session routing (Kontakt):
• CH1: Noire Piano — played from Arturia KeyLab 88 Mk3
• CH2: Two synths — driven by the app’s Bass Arpeggiator (riff inspired by Vangelis’ Blade Runner theme)
• CH3: Lead synth — performed from the app’s mini keyboard
• CH4: Minimal electronic drums — driven by a second arpeggiator

Why this app? Many keyboards I use on stage have few (or zero) surface controls—sometimes not even pitch bend—so I built a mobile controller to unlock hands-on control: shape filters, automate movements, morph textures, balance layers, and keep playing fluidly. If this helps me, I know it can help other players too.

This video is a 6-minute+ live jam to show the workflow: arpeggiators keeping motion underneath while I improvise on piano and ride parameters on Page 2 of my scene (faders/knobs/XY). The app is still in development and I plan to release it as soon as possible.

If you’re into MIDI control, live keys, or sound design, tell me what you’d like this app to do next—your feedback will shape the release.

Additional Keywords: iOS MIDI app, mobile MIDI controller, live arpeggiator, synth arps, Kontakt Noire, Native Instruments, Arturia KeyLab 88 Mk3, phone MIDI, DAW performance, synth filters, XY pad, faders and knobs, pitch bend on mobile, live improvisation, Blade Runner inspired, Vangelis, sound design workflow"

video upload by Perplex On

"Paired the #monomenorns with the #ep133koii today to see where it goes. The always mighty #awakescript sequences some samples on the #ep133 (using a #widibudpro to send midi over BT to the iPad and from there to the EP133 via USB) while being spiced up with #klevgrandwalls, #kdevicesfauve and #kdevicesttap on the iPad."

Ambient Drone | AKAI S-950 & Make Noise Strega

video upload by Akihiko Matsumoto

"A cinematic atmosphere made of sound, not melody.
https://akihikomatsumoto.sellfy.store...
This is not a collection of loops. It is a carefully curated archive of long-form drone textures, each exceeding five minutes, sculpted for those who create without the need for rhythm, harmony, or resolution.
Designed for deep listeners and sound designers.
From seasoned ambient producers to experimental filmmakers, this pack speaks to those who understand that sound can live and breathe without a beat. Built from legendary hardware units and bespoke digital tools, these drones are not simply sounds. They are environments.

ASM Hydrasynth TouchOSC Bidirectional Editor v5.0 & 64 Patches by synth_nyc

via synth_nyc

"Please find here 64 ASM Hydrasynth Custom Patches [Bank 1] created from scratch with my editor"

You can listen to them in high resolution (24bit 96kHz PCM WAV masters, FLAC encoded) on my site (optimized for Chrome on MacOS and Windows).

or in low resolution on my bandcamp. [embed below]

All recorded at 24bit 96kHz PCM on UAD Apollo X hardware with mainly UAD FX.

I have 4 fully digital synthesizers and I crafted patches for all 4:
Beetlecrab Audio Tempera
Waldorf Music Iridium desktop
Fred’s Lab Manatee
ASM Hydrasynth Deluxe

The Hydrasynth is the most challenging (IMHO) to find a sweet spot; however I’m pleased with this bank and I think there are some unique sounds in it."

PlantsSystem-ElectroSession

video upload by plantssystem

"PlantsSystem - New Live Set 'ElectroSession'

PlantsSystem latest live set, 'ElectroSession' is a machine performance that intertwines hard beats and organic rhythms. The groove, built around the Akai MPC-2000 and utilizing four iElectribe, produces a unique sound that fuses classic electro textures with a modern live feel.

All sounds are manipulated in real time, creating a series of moments that unfold as a performance rather than a program.
Experience PlantsSystem 'machine-human session.'

Block Rockin' Beats/The Chemical Brothers (Circuit Tracks Version)

video upload by Guinan

"'Back with another one of those block rockin' beats.....'
I've been searching around for an ideal Chemical Brothers track to recreate on the Circuit Tracks when up popped one of my favourite channels, ‪@smallplatesmusic‬ with a video about this classic 1997 song off the album "Dig Your Own Hole'. I've loved the band since their 'Dust Brother'/Playstation 1 days and this mix of jazz, hip-hop and breakbeats blended with their signature synths is a true anthem. (plus check out another great band, 23 Skidoo's track 'Coup' for possible 'inpiration')

See the video here [below] for his fascinating deep dive into all of the samples used and the history behind them. Highly, highly recommend for any music fan...plus also some great Koala Sample App recreations too!

After commenting I was offered access to the Koala track shown in the video, and many of the samples in this recreation come from that version. Mark this up as my first collaboration on this channel! Huge thanks for the inspiration and help ‪@smallplatesmusic‬

What you hear was all recreated on a single Novation Circuit Tracks with the drum tracks used to sequence the various samples, augmented with synth lines to underpin the sound when needed. It was recorded straight from the audio outs into a Zoom L6 without any extra synths or effects.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it and stay tuned!

More details for synth nerds.

BPM 109.
Synth 1 - sawtooth bass synth
Synth 2 - distorted PWM saw patch playing chords and stabs
Drum 1 - drum loops
Drum 2 - sequenced bass note samples
Drum 3 - vocal snatches and pitched gunshot(!) samples
Drum 4 - crash cymbal and 707 open and closed hihats"

Remaking "Block Rockin' Beats" on Koala Sampler

video upload by small plates music

"Back with another one of those..attempts to remake a dancefloor classic on my phone.

This early Chemical Brothers banger includes a lot of jazz, funk, soul and early hip-hop samples including Schoolly D’s raw intro, Wilton Felder’s (very technical...) bassline, and Bernard Purdie’s funky drum fills. I have a listen to the sample, tell you some interesting things I found out, then try to rebuild the track using Koala, showing you how it works (more or less).

Featuring nods to Grand Wizard Theodore, Afrika Islam, Adult Swim cartoons, and the Zulu Beat Show.

0:00-0:15 Intro - What are we doing here anyway?
0:23-1:10 Schoolly D "Back With Another One Of Those" vocal, Acqua Teen Hunger Force
1:10-1:45 The Crusaders bassline- Beastie Boys cover, every third 1/16th note, Wilton Felder's other credits
2:02-2:43 Using Koala for the bass and drums
2:43-4:07 Drums by Bernard Purdie- the sample machine
4:07- 5:20 "Hoooo!" - Early hip-hop artefacts, Grand Wizard Theodore
5:20-6:50 Afrika Islam on the Zulu Beats Show, waiting for MCs, 'We're about ready to rock steady'
6:50-7:36 "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo", "Rocksteady" Aretha Franklin drummer
7:36-9:00 Koala workout, using the samples to recreate Block Rockin' Beats"

Making a 5/4 Beat in Patterning 3 Using Nature Sounds

video upload by Olympia Noise Co.

"Making a 5/4 beat in Patterning 3: Drum Machine using only nature sounds—(almost) no talking, just the creative process.

In this video, I create a rhythm in 5/4 time signature using Patterning 3 : Drum Machine and nature samples. All the sounds were collected in a temperate rainforest in the Pacific Northwest by touching trees, lichen, moss, and ferns. Yup.

Patterning 3 is a circular drum machine for iOS that makes working with unusual time signatures intuitive and fun. The 5/4 meter gives this beat an interesting, off-kilter groove.

Perfect for producers looking for Patterning 3 workflow inspiration
• Anyone interested in unusual time signatures
• Fans of ambient and organic beat-making

MFX motto for iPad

video upload by ALM TV

"'MFX motto' is a multi-effects plugin from ALM Busy Circuits, which brings the much lauded FX engines from our 'MFX' Eurorack Module, Guitar Pedal and Desktop plugins to the iPad with the unique ability to now chain multiple effects. In this video we demo the plugin with a hybrid hardware + iPad setup using the AUM mixer/syncing app.

Inspired by our favourite classic hardware effects processors, the MFX motto incorporates DSP technologies from the dawn of digital effects in the 70s to the present day. This combines with ALM character and uniqueness to form a highly useful, fun and practical iPad effects processor.

Bend time space and pitch with multiple feature rich reverb and delay engines. Modulate signals with the flexible panner, phaser and range of ensembles. Fracture sounds with a one of a kind glitch engine. Reshape sound with the dynamics engine.

Important! MFX motto is an Audio Unit Effects Plugin (AUv3) which requires a compatible host or DAW to work such as Garageband, AUM etc. It does not work as a standalone app.

Unique to the MFX motto is the ability to create custom effect chains of up to 11 effects in any order - all within the plugin itself - allowing for clear, efficient routing between multiple effects.

MFX motto is available to purchase now for iPad at the special launch price of 9.99 until the 10th October via the App Store button below."

Mother Global Settings Editor for the Moog Grandmother and Matriarch by DIRE Studio

via DIRE Studio

"The proper Grandmother and Matriarch editor has landed.

Mother Global Settings is an intuitive editor for Moog's Grandmother and Matriarch synthesizers. Sporting a 500-series rack inspired control-per-function interface, it's a huge improvement over the quirky global settings editing method of these instruments.
For Mac and iPad.

Supports the creative flow.

Each setting is accessible with two clicks/taps at maximum, allowing you to concentrate on creating your music. Actual values are instantly visible on the screen, which may also prevent a disaster by letting you see output voltage levels. And we have added octave buttons to easily set and check keyboard transposition, as well as a sequence selector override for the Matriarch, letting you quickly switch to any sequence — not just adjacent ones.

Expanded control panel.

Separate items for oscillator frequency ranges on the Matriarch. Fine grained control over MIDI output and local control. Extra glide toggle and arp/seq gate length settings managed by the app. And a panic button in case the synth goes rebel.

Presets.

Save all global settings, as well as our extra settings, into files that you can archive with other project material or share with others. Quickly recall them when needed. And of course you can reset all settings to factory defaults.

Keyboard control.

Keyboard shortcuts for settings affecting synthesizer parameters that you may wish to change during live performance or recording: Gate Length, Swing, FW/BW End Note Repeat, Allow Seq Random Repeat, Delay Seq Change, Pitch Variance, Gated Glide, Legato Glide, Paraphonic Unison, Update Unison on Note-Off, Noise Filter Cutoff, Delay Filter Brightness and Multi Trig.

Equally at home on stage and in the studio.

Direct USB connection for the fastest operation and complete auto-detection — perfect for live performance. 5-pin MIDI support for connecting via MIDI interfaces — and even through MIDI routers — allows you to integrate the app into complex studio setups."

The Inner Sounds of Tape and iPhone w/ Field Kit, OP-1 field, PO-32 :Check up 2025-09-02 by atnr

video upload by atnr

"A piece created with ‪@teenageengineering‬ OP-1 field, PO-32, and ‪@KOMAelektronik‬ Field Kit. Ambient electronica where drones and noise from a cassette player and iPhone overlap with lo-fi synth loops.

The iPhone and tape player are not connected to anything; instead, an electromagnetic pickup captures internal noise from both devices. The tape player emits drone sounds, while the iPhone produces glitch noise.

On the OP-1 field, synth pad loops are performed and layered with additional recorded takes.

The PO-32 plays rhythm patterns, processed through ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ MOOD MK II with delay and pitch-shift effects."
