SpiceCore is an iPad instrument that pairs an analogue-style synth voice with a sequencer built for evolving rhythm, tonal steering, and hands-on play.

What defines the instrument now.

Voice, motion, harmony, space, touch, and the long arc of a performance all live inside one instrument instead of feeling like separate features.

Voice character
Dual morphing oscillators with OSC1→OSC2 FM, Contour, dual filtering, envelopes, drift, and Circuit give the core tone weight, edge, and movement, from clean bodies to bell and metallic FM colours. And one pattern need not stay one sound: the Sound Palette spreads a phrase across up to four, chosen and blended note by note.

Guided motion
Mutation, Density, Chaos, Memory, and per-parameter Cycles change the phrase in ways that still feel steerable under the hands. Motion Arp turns held chords into living phrases, and Harmonic Mode lets you play voiced chords from the keyboard over the top, and the chord you hold leads the pattern underneath. The Conductor extends that steering to the whole performance, breathing macros, levels, and space over minutes, with the same arc returning from the same seed.

Echo and air
A per-part mixer feeds a tempo-synced delay and a plate-style reverb, and each part gets its own sends, so the sequencer can sit dry and upfront while the arp echoes and the chords drench in the tail. Two character knobs wear the effects in: DLY Age turns the echo towards worn tape, RVB Grain gives the plate its metal and shimmer. At zero, both are exactly clean.

Harmonic sequencing
Scale, Key, Prog, and Deg let patterns evolve while still holding to a tonal centre. Progressions move on their own clock at a chord length you choose, mutations settle onto the current chord at the strong beats, and a chord held in Harmonic Mode takes the lead in real time.

Touch performance
The main view keeps sound, sequence, macros, and play controls close enough to react by ear rather than by menu.

Session readiness
Standalone play, AUv3 hosting, saved state, MIDI profiles, and shareable presets make it practical beyond the first sketch.
