From the auction:
"Real analogue drum sounds! All the way back in 1982 Korg released one of the first fully programmable analogue drum machines, the KPR-77. Later that year, Roland answered back with the TR-606 Drumatix (sister of the TB-303 Bass Line.)"
i wish i still had my kpr 77...:(
ReplyDeleteI think the KPR-77 is a great little machine. The kick is a bit flabby but it has nice analogue hats and the snare is o.k. The best thing by far is the clap which is brilliant with a nice long decay and a lovely grungy noisiness about it. The toms are warm and very usable. I sync it to my other drum machines and seldom use the kick from it. The sync input is 48ppqn so it syncs at half speed. This isn't a problem if you program at half speed (i.e. 2/4 time)
