Arturia Prophet V?
I heard that Arturia will be releasing the Prophet V, a soft synth of the Prophet 5 and V. Apparently there is an add of it in the latest Keyboard Mag, but I let my subscription lapse and can't confirm. Nothing on the Arturia site at the time of this post either. If you can confirm either way, feel free to comment.

Really? What would be the point? There's a million Prophet 5's out there already.
ReplyDeleteNative Instruments have had one for years, there's free ones, there's Reaktor ensembles if you have that, there's ones for Powercore.
Seems a weird one unless it is unique in some way. There are more unique instruments to recreate - (trademarks aside) Where are the Jupiter 8's, Oberheim OBX/Xpanders etc etc
yep... a lot of clones, but none of then captured that "elusive" PV sound... bah!
ReplyDeleteOk - sounds a bit more interesting then!
ReplyDeleteI like emulations to be more or less 100% of the original but also to add things that go beyond them, so it sounds interesting...
a prophet V + a prophet VS in one?
ReplyDeletedo they wish to clone the polyevolver? :)
I haven't seen the mag, but it's interesting that the Arturia website contains NOTHING about this, and its forums have been hacked and are currently down. Recent comments on this very subject (pre-hack) include suggestions that the whole thing is an elaborate hoax.
ReplyDeleteI have it in both the US issue of Keyboard Magazine and Future Music. Now that would be quite an ellaborate hoax. : ) You can check out the add in any local Guitar Center - they carry Keyboard. I had a heck of a time trying to find a copy anywhere else when my subscription ran out.
ReplyDeleteFrom my experience, Arturia makes the most realistic and best sounding soft synths by far.
