that thing is pretty cool. if you want to see one in action, there's a bar on Beale St in Memphis that has the original STAX neon marquee in the main room. they have a house band that plays all STAX/Hi stuff ... real good memphis soul music basically. they have a small horn line, a guitarist, a drummer, and this bad motherfucker of an organist who plays bass on that Korg thing to the left of his Hammond in what looks like an uncomfortable position. they play like 5 nights a week there, and have been for a long time. i hope i can see them again.
