Waldorf Will Continue the microQ and Possibly Others

Not only is Waldorf back, but they will continue with some of their previous products. Only the microQ was specifically mentioned. Title link takes you to the post on the German Keys magazine. Babblefished to English below. (whale village = Waldorf : )

"Now it is completely official: The Synthesizer manufacturer whale village was formed new. The key editorship spoke with Stefan Stenzel, franc cutter and Joachim Flor about one of the sensations of the Frankfurt music fair of this year. Beside the continuation and far coil of some established products (for example microQ) there is to be also new, innovative products in the future. We in the next expenditure for key (06/06) on the reestablishment to report in detail and in detail. "

  1. Someone told me that Waldorf had a booth at Messe, with "a bunch of their old products." Anyone see that first-hand?

  2. Bring back the uQ but PLEASE lose the horribly stupid "screensaver". I love the Q, Xtk and microQ, but I think Waldorf deserved to go out of business for producing this atrocity of a "feature".

  3. Anyhow...regarding the content of the post itself. GOOD. If they're re-releasing old gear then hopefully that means that us stubborn people who held on to their Waldorf gear will get some OS updates.

  5. Well, not so much for the XTk, but some bug fixes would be nice (mono click bug, aftertouch not sending properly).

The OS update that I would REALLY want is for my Q+. There's so much untapped DSP power in there...

  6. Awesome. It would be nice if they'd make a new Pulse - but with more knobs - sort of like what they did for the Microwave II when they came out with the XT and XTk.

  7. I always wanted a Poly Pulse in a small knob laden three octave keyboard. Chaining a rack of Pulses just doesn't seem ergonomic to me.
