I use something like this called 'Devine Machine' ( http://www.devine-machine.com/ )
ReplyDeleteDevine Machine used to be a shareware program called Xincarn, and is so ultra amazing it really boggles my mind.
Actually, forget what I just said and don't check out the DM demo. Otherwise everyone's glitch beats will be sounding much better and my music will be less special.
Great. Another way of making generic IDM glitch crap.
ReplyDeleteBasically if every track you write you reach Reaktor Library ensembles, Livecut, Beat Repeat, and now this... you really should try to put together a track where you actually edit the audio yourself, and sequence all the changes manually. Yeah - do microedits by hand. Apply effects. Use the damn mod envelopes in Live instead of a damn plugin.
Or not. Go ahead and keep making shit no one will remember in 6mos. :)
Sweet, it's like a controllable Supatrigga
ReplyDeleteI found myself sending manually sliced and chopped loops into it. (But haven't we all found ourselves sending white noise to a distortion at least once?)
RZ4, for my own curiousity, what would you call your main instrument?
you can use the effect in different ways. i don't even use a drum loop with this stuff.
ReplyDeleteyou're all so dramatic.
