Herbie Hancock Live at Comedy Central 1984 on YouTube

Some Rhodes Chroma and Keytar action.

  1. Bill Cosby called up. He wants his sweater back. No, seriously, I remember seeing that episode of Saturday Night Live back in the day. Billy Crystal did a funny "Fernando" sketch with Ringo Starr asking him what it was like to be in a band with Jack Lemmon. It also shows that the old adage is true: Give one of the world's best pianists a Chroma Expander & you're entering a world of pain.

  2. Who's more embarassed to see that now, the keytarist for that outfit, or DST for those headphones with the antenna on them.

  3. the headphones were great!
    but,
the next time someone argues that you can look cool with a
Keytar, just show them this video. It can't be done. Ok, only DEVO can pull it off.

  4. there is an episode of SNL with Frankie Goes to Hollywood, where they actually put on a damn good show.. george carlin was the guest star

also an episode of SNL where they had the band FEAR... it was crazy shit, they brought out the stage into the audience and kids were moshing with the band as they played

  6. Trying not to be nitpicky but he would be Live at NBC's Saturday Night Live not Comedy Central
