Anyone remember the poor, overshadowed OBXpander that looked like an OBXa without a keyboard?
ReplyDeleteHi reed,
ReplyDeleteIt is not a 'OBXpander', it is THE Oberheim Xpander to Oberheim Matrix 12. Other Matrixes where Matrix 6 and Matrix 1000. 12 voices, 6 voices and 6 voices without keyboard, but in 19" rack.
Last Xpander series made, was made in Japan, by Hammond Suzuki. If ANYBODY want to win a cookie, send me a link to the guy who sells the service manual to a japanese Oberheim Xpander. Not even Tom Oberheim has it. (do not ever let japaneese factorys buy whole brands of western quality stuff!)
Send link to larsahlstrom56@gmail.com if you have the servicemanual. Key part: The power supply unit (PSU) has a PWM-controller (IC) its name is MB3759. If thats the case... Then it is a japaneese Xpander!
Hi im looking too for that japanese psu schematic. Please send it to dominiclaeuppi AT hotmail DOT com many many many thanks
