there is plenty of atari punk console info at the forum section
The original design is the "Stepped Tone Generator" taken from the "Engineer's Mini-Notebook - 555 Circuits" by Forrest M. Mims, III (Siliconcepts, 1984).
ReplyDeleteKaustic Machines modified it slightly and gave it the name Atari Punk Console.

I have built one from the veroboard layout available at:

Cheap and bleepy, I like it. Nice design on the posted box, I've been meaning to try etching aluminium.
This was my third venture into etching, heres a great photoessay by MarkM on box etching http://aronnelson.com/gallery/album24 He does some stunning ones. Although the circuit is now public domain, I believe the name belongs to Kaustic Machines... I have no idea on the terms of use, but if I make many more of these for any commercial reason, I may have to change the name... thanks for the kind words and the repost over here!!!
ReplyDeletedoes anyone have that vero layout? aronnelson.com isn't working :(
