I know, it doesn't really matter what color the case is as long as it does its job. but seriously... ORANGE?

ReplyDeleteJust in time for Halloween! But seriously, I wish Korg had made cases like these for their Electribes. I love how it has compartments for the AC adaptor, wires, etc.

ReplyDeletei like the orange, but i dont like that it makes a 2 octave keyboard take up as much horizontal room as a 4 octave
ReplyDeleteRoland/Edirol seems like the only company to realize that 2.5 octaves actually lets you play normal left hand fingering. But I guess the left hand is now used to try to tweak life into typically dull monophonic sounds over typically monotonous grooves.

ReplyDeleteFor all its worth, my Ideal short synth keyboard layout is 3 octaves C to C, as in the Moog Source and Novation SL-37.
ReplyDeleteIn a perfect world, synths and samplers wouldn't be evaluated for their ability to imitate acoustic pianos (both in sound and UI).
Back in the 80s, I used to attend in-stores and clinics where reps from Roland,Korg, Ensoniq etc. would come peddle their latest wares, and the Q&As always started with the same question: "Can we hear the piano sound?"
Nothing ever seems to change.
