Uban Outfitters is a chain like The Gap. There was one on Capitol Hill in Seattle. Note the 1934-2005. The synth pictures is a Memorymoog btw, not the Minimoog. Anyone know more about this T? Who's producing it? Why the Memorymoog was chosen?
Update: And another.

Given that Urban Outfitters are well known to be blatant plagiarists when it comes to their T-Shrits, I would imagine this was designed by an independant designer and was then stolen by them.
ReplyDeleteNot really sure what to think about this. Kind of cool but kind of sad too.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the t-shirt won't break as often as the Memorymoog.
ReplyDeleteIf you look close- the synth nameplate reads "inMEMORYofMOOG" then the years he was alive under the synth. Jeez Matrix-thought you wouldn't miss that one.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, before one goes out and buys one of these please bare in mind it may not have been done with the blessing of The Moog family, who are quite liberal. This stores has given huge amounts of money to Rick Santorum
ReplyDeletewe should make sure all profit from this shirt goes towards Bob's daughters new Fund....
ReplyDeleteUmm... I don't see the "inMEMORYofMOOG." Anyone else siee it?
ReplyDeleteIn Memory of Bob Moog

There still is a U.O. on Cap. Hill, south of QFC.
ReplyDeleteThey were one of the first places I saw to have one of those mini-iPod-DJ thingies ... maybe someone around there's an EM fan.
I've been to that UO! Well, walked through it to get to the Fred Meyer and shops that were there before QFC, when I lived on Captol Hill. It's too bad QFC took over that place, it was cool seeing all the littler vendors. My wife bought me a small silver ring that I still wear to this day from one of those vendors. This was before we got married and thus before the wedding ring. If I had to chose between the two, it would be a very hard choice. : )
