Ray Kurzweil on TEDTalks

Title link takes you there. No direct synth content, but I thought it would be interesting to hear what the man behind the Kurzweil line of synthesizers has to say about technology.

  1. Well, not entirely non-synth... I spy a Li'l Phatty sitting inexplicably towards the left end of the "laptop salad bar."

  3. I think Kurzweil synths sound even worse than the Buchla 200e!

Seriously though, they sound really naff.

Like 15 year old technology. Seriously steeped in the 80's.

They are also way way way too expensive for what they do.

Their standalone effects box is a huge joke. Sounds awul.

    Prove me wrong.

(but I respect Ray for making money selling junk -- give the people what they want, that's what I say).

  4. ray takes mega-doses of vitamins in order to stay alive long enough for the nanobots to make him immortal.

i mock, but when it's his head on top of a mechanical body laughing at us dead people, he'll have the last laugh.
