  1. As far as bad reviews are concerned... I still find KP3 a nifty toy to have...

  2. the bad reviews i've read of this thing are often silly, because they're usually lamenting its not being something it was never intended to be.

  3. Well it was intended for DJs, so anyone reviewing it for a musician/synth audience is going to have things to complain about. This isn't unreasonable... usually they are reviewing it for fellow musicians, who want to know how well it will work in a synth setup.

For a live performance situation, where you want to do things similar to what a DJ would want to do, it's great.

For studio use, not as great. They could make it great with a few tweaks, but I don't know if there's enough of a market in that to make them want to bother.

  4. That's quite true... often there's so many good reviews that it seems that everything is worth buying... bah... the reviewers prolly get to keep the reviewed gears? Dunno... perhaps the magazines needed their adverts. To me KP3 is just that extra hands on organic effect processor in my chain... Yep, espcially live... Though I am not a DJ :P

  5. I wish there were more visual demos for this unit, sez Mellotrongirl...the instruction booklet does the best it can do for the reading, but I really need to see a visual demo to have its capabilities all sink in.
