  1. Good to see Waldorf up and running again. That Stromborg looks interesting, and it's a nice-looking board too.

  2. Wow, a real electric piano? Cool, but not something I would have expected from Waldorf. I want to hear more about this thing!

Funny that this and the new Rhodes might be competition for each other.

  3. Man... I play Rhodes a lot - one of my main instruments, and I was rather looking foward to the new one. Now this?? Seriously? I'm naturally skeptical, but man, if it sounds as good as it looks...

  4. Hmmm... it looks like there is more about the piano. Interesting, but not nearly as exciting:

"The Zarenbourg Piano offers 5 realistic emulations of well-known electromechanical key instruments. In addition come 6 effects, which were likewise modelled after historical model. The instrument offers a very high-quality Lautsprechersyste of the renowned German manufacturer EMES with the possibility also external instruments to show. Optionally Zarenbourg with a genuine wood keyboard and with different surfaces can be ordered. USB 2 offers the possibility of making interferences in the physical Piano models and the effect unit. The edited sounds can be stored as a user Presets in the instrument."

  6. Oh darn, so it's not a real electric piano then. :( I was really excited for a second there...
It's more like a Nord Electro. I wonder why it has to look so bulky then?

  8. This is a golden opportunity to strike up an endorsement deal featuring Tim Conway's beloved "Dorf" character.

  9. The EP is probably going to sound great, anyways.

So, from the Stromberg looks like what everybody was asking for... an updated wavetable synth with both analog and digital filters. It pretty much looks like the most kickass synth ever from it's description.

  10. If it's a *real* i.e. metal electric piano, then that's very cool.

If it's all pseudo bit 1010101 bit stuff, yawnzville arizona.

I hope Waldforf impresses me this time around.
