having owned a number of pro-ones and p5's in my life, i will say they are different. they arent exactly the same circuit topology despite the using the same curtis architecture. and having 4 pro-ones is not like having a p5 because they are 4 independent mono synths. however, for the price, i think buying a dsi polyevolver keyboard would be a better use of money. again, i also own the pek so i can speak to this. in fact, getting 4 pro-ones was an option i had considered so when i saw this setup i got really excited. however again for the money i opted for the pek which sounds very similar to the pro-one and gives a lot more on top of that. frankly, a fair price for that system would be more like $1600-1800US and even then, for only a little more one could have a pek. but, knowing ebay, it'll probably sell for 2500 euro.
Because it's more cooler than just buying a Prophet 5.
