Waldorf on Novamusik

Looks like the new Waldorf products are listed on Novamusik. Prices are still TBA for BloFeld, Stromberg, and Zarenbourg. The Q Phoenix is listed at $2299 and the Micro Q Phoenix is $699; both include a free copy of the Waldorf Edition (Attack, D-Pole, and PPG Wave 2.V).

  1. Did I read it right? That new synth has plugins for analog filters, tube saturation, and some kind of filterbank?

    That's kinda neat.

  2. Yep. Very neat. You can get a base model to start and upgrade when you can afford it. Kind of like being able to upgrade to the Q+ from a Q which is not possible.

  3. if the price is set to "tbs" it is so easy to add the Waldorf Edition VSTis on top ;)

They are selling more then they actually know. Maybe they know more then Waldorf ;)

    keep on turning these knobs

    Till "Qwave" Kopper

  4. I can't wait for the Stromberg. Sounds like they missed an opportunity with the Q Phoenix - if they had updated the OS to use the Q+ dynamic voicing engine (up to 100 voices) it would have made it pretty amazing... but to be "stuck" with a 16-voice $2200 virtual synth in this day and age...

That's assuming Nova has the latest info, I guess.

  5. Waldorf promised OS Updates for all Waldorf Machines.. means XT, Q etc..

so, just waiting for it to come true s.o.o.n.

Pics on Dealers sites: Are nomal, here you can see how they all deal with that news.. ;)

you will find those things on some shops, others never do that till they get the first real batch of synths..

Try the compatileblity of Q and Stromberg. to me it looks like Stromberg is a Mid-Range Q with ext. Taps for adding Analogue Modules (cool). Maybe more Wavetables, will we have edits? MAybe Q gets more WT's,too.. will Stromberg have Multisegment Envs? the blofeld reads mQ sounds, so it should work with the envelopes of the Q.. then..

  7. When I ordered my Receptor from Nova, it came the very next day, and I'm in Canada!

When I spoke to them in person, they gave me a better price with shipping then even the Web Site listed.

    Coolies.

  8. Well, the used market is pretty aggressive on these already - Q Keyboards are usually $1100, QRacks for $700, MicroQs for $400.

So if you can stand someone elses fingerprints and aura on your machine, that's the way to get a deal.

But I'm getting me a Stromberg. I need that Waldorf sound back in my studio.
