Nice lil' videos, thx. Always nice to see the hugely underrated DDD-1 in the mix. Mid-80's Korg 4-eva.
ReplyDeleteThat said - I thought I had a serious case of Drum Machine Acquisition Affliction (DMAA).
As much as I dearly love the R-100 (honest!), and to each his own, obviously, but when you've got one plus any combo of R-50/R-50e, it might be time to scale down 'n' stop visiting eBay for a spell.
BTW, anyone considering purchasing a used KPR-77 should just stop themselves now. Nice lil' crunchy sounds, but possibly the worst programming interface on the planet. That includes the Akai XR-10 - great '88 punch, but utterly impossible to create your own beats without manual in hand.
I love my old R-50 - a great and flexible drum machine for its time and price, and the Kawai boxes have a unique sound too.
