what's up with Clavia? A while ago there was a rumor here of the Nord Lead 4 at Messe, then nothing.
ReplyDeleteNothing at Clavia.se either.
Anyone got the scoop? (no cat pun intended)
Clavia seems to be releasing samplers and repackaging their existing tech.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they lost some developers?
It's clear that their classic synth line has penetrated just about all markets that would buy it, and they are trying to develop new markets.
I get a sense that they've spread themselves a bit thin.
Not too many details out there yet, but the NL4 "Wave" seems to be an NL3 user wavetable/sampler where you can do something similar to what the DSI Evolver lets you do, load in single-cycle wavetables and samples which can be mapped in zones, then put through a NL3 engine. It seems like the VSynth for people who hate Roland.
