Creamware Assets Absorbed by SonicCore and InDSP

You might remember from this post that Creamware was declared insolvent on December 18, 2006. According to this CDM article it looks like SonicCore will continue to support SCOPE (hardware and software) under the Creamware name and InDSP has absorbed the rights to their hardware synthesizer technology which makes sense as they were responsible for the ASB line of synths. 1. Anyone have a Scope?

How well do they work these days?

  2. Scope works fine on Windows XP and some features work on Vista. The company released a Scope 4.5 upgrade in early 2006 that greatly expanded the number of standard synths and built-in effects. I bought my cards used at very decent prices and upgraded to Scope 4.5 for less than €98.

The environment is quite powerful and lives in a dedicated low-end PC in my studio (there's a photo of my 3 card setup in one of my Creamware posts on CDM). The softsynths are good, although many of the FX have been surpassed on other platforms. That said, I won't be parting with mine.
