MOOG MF-FM

Update: Make sure to check out the sample on site.

"MF-FM: NEW MOOGERFOOGER EFFECT USES BROADCAST RADIO SIGNALS

MF/FM mixes live radio and instrument sounds to create out-of-this-world effects.

In case the FreqBox wasn’t adept at catapulting Moog beyond the frayed outer circles of unique electronic effects, another new Moogerfooger, unveiled today, puts the phrase “never been done before” into almost cliché territory. The “MF/FM” effect actually captures radio signals, routes them through electronic wizardry, and produces some of the craziest sounds imaginable.

The new MF/FM begins shipping on April 1, 2007.

$349.00 in US dollars."

  4. Y'know, I've actually expressed a desire to build exactly this. The idea would be to have an oscillating distortion or ringmod whose carrier was a tunable FM signal. The ad copy writes itself: "All musicians want to get on the radio. Here's your chance! Stop spending all your time eliminating RF noise from your signal path: embrace it and make Clear Channel work for you!"

  9. Been there, done that. Foot pedal controls AM/FM tuning, expression pedal input to control signal/radio mix.

  10. What, no shortwave? Bah!

  11. Hey Lorren your paint jobs are almost as played out as saying "been there, done that" Do you also say "talk to the hand" or "oh no you diunt" when hating on stuff that is so much radder than yours. Why don't you make a tr-909 clone while you are at it and have all the blues lawyers tell you how ill it is. Oh wait it seems like you maybe have already.

  13. I think Buchla actually does have a module like this that just came out. for the 200E series. Kind of cool, but I agree with jmw's gripe about lack of shortwave (or long waves for that mater) Bah indeed.

Where do I send the bill?

(mine is a real 3 module set -- could be one module, but I like re-positioning them).

How long 'till those bastards steal my "Psycho Cluster Zombulator"?
