Very fun, and versatile, except for the lack of storage. you'll run through the 50 user patterns pretty quick, and there is no way to dump them to a disk or anything. It is great to start off with and learn with.
ReplyDeleteI still use mine for synthesis sometimes, partially because it set the standard for how I think that arpeggiation should work, partially because I'm attached to the cheesy sounds.
the arpeggiator on the mc 303 is very nice. Play quantize also lets you do cool things you can't do with most sequencers i've tried.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite machines. Some sounds are totally cheesy and some others are very nice.
You can backup its memory via sysex. I do it often on mine
