Hey, thanks for asking, they are standard SKB cases, not the roto versions. In some cases they may be knock offs or older versions of SKB. The Modcan racks are the old-style hammertone. Newer ones have black aluminum surrounding the panels. Pros-lots of modular modularity, I can easily setup custom portable synths for gigging; inexpensive. Cons- extra distance between modules compared to, say, a Cyndustries six-pak, increases system footprint; lots of wasted depth space(but the depth means it's stable).
