  5. Enya vocals are typically overdubbed dozens, even hundreds of times MBV "Loveless" style.

    So there really isn't any FX box that could pull it off. Not only that, but you won't really get instant Enya by overdubbing a poor singer's voice a hundred times - Its because each of the dozens of takes are so skillfully precise that the subtle differences create the phasey sheen.

  7. There's a microphone about a foot in front of her. I'm surprised it can pick up her humming.

    It's too precise to be overdubbed. I think she's using a harmonizer or a short static delay to get that phasey-flangy sound.
