That's mine!
ReplyDeleteThe only Lignum Vitae Voyager!
Yarr! The pirate wood!
Matrix: I told you I'd buy the Matrixsynth Voyager -- this is the first true Matrixsynth Voyager IMO.
ReplyDeleteKudos to you.
Wow that is beautiful! That wood has such a rich character.. definitely a pirate's wood.
ReplyDeleteFunny, Doktor, I thought this might be yours. I remember your comment in this post: link. Congrats. It is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI usually don't suffer from hardware lust. Usually.
ReplyDeletesynthwood.com doesn't have a price list. I wonder how rich you have to be to get that done?
ReplyDeleteHrm... I'm not sure I'm nuts about the lignum vitae based on the pic. The wood looks moisture damaged to the uninitiated (me), or like pressure-treated 2x4s.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably fabulous in person?
/just jealous anyway
The wood isn't varnished or glossy or anything. It is a *strange* wood. The wood reminds me of an overcast day in Scotland :)
ReplyDeleteI love pirates (boo ninjas), and I love Lignum Vitae (one of the hardest woods, if not the hardest).
It really is a 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' type of wood -- by design, I'm happy if most people hate it, because I made it for me, not them :)
Cheers
Yeah lignum vitae is definitely an odd greenish dark wood. I don't think it has anything but oil (linseed?) on it to make it look that wild. Its naturally wild!
ReplyDeleteA hard-wooded synth for a hard-headed guy.
ReplyDeleteKudos, Dok. :o)
yes anon, it's linseed i think.
ReplyDeletelinseed is also flax seed i think.
essential omega 3 fatty acids.
(but don't eat solvent-processed linseed, for it'll kill ya)
I'd eat that thing.
