"As far as i can tell that setup belongs to an Italian gentleman called Ricardo Grotto. He's the guy who bought one of Kieth Emersons Yamaha GX 1s.
I believe at least one of the PS 3300s is for sale. From what i could make of it the price was 4000 euros which is a remarkable price for a PS 3300 in that condition."
As always, click the image for a bigger shot.
The usual selection - in addition to the Korg PS's, I can see various Memorymoog, Andromeda, Prophet-10, Prophet-5, Jupiter 8, PPG Wave, Polymoog, Jupiter-6, a Rhodes Chroma and expander...
ReplyDeleteMaybe a Matrix-6 down the bottom...
ReplyDeleteOops, it's an Obie OBX and not an Andromeda...
ReplyDeleteI prefer his earlier material to his new stuff.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the sliding shelves .. obvious hoarding though.. I mean, who needs two Prophet-10s? ;-) I can understanding have two memory moogs .. because one is going to break on you for sure.
ReplyDeletedear god. if i had two ps-3300's i'd prolly go into a joy induced coma and never come out.
ReplyDeleteSadly, if you had two PS-3300's you'd probably have one working PS-3300 and a bunch of blown tantalum caps.
ReplyDeleteTantalum caps aren't that tough to deal with..... a few hours on the bench and you'd be in a joy induced coma.
ReplyDeleteThe whole for sale list is on the first page in that thread. Both PS 3300s are for sale. One with midi one without. 4300 euros for the one with midi. That guy is some serious collector. He has 4 Rhodes Chromas and 4 Yamaha CS 80s as far as i can tell. And of course the GX1. That guy takes no prisoners. :)
ReplyDeleteI prefer his future stuff to his current and past stuff.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of gear but can can he make decent polka tunes with any of it? I think not.
ReplyDeletethe deals are good.. this stuff has been up for sale for weeks and most of it was sold when I emailed a few weeks back
ReplyDeleteInteresting keyboard stands. They're made from aluminum T-slot. Very flexible but pretty pricey for a keyboard stand.
ReplyDeleteI somehow get the impression cost isn't a big issue for this fella.
ReplyDeleteI bet there are people who'd trade a kidney for one of those PS-3300's
ReplyDeleteno buchlidian banjo? this isn't a collector at all! phony!
ReplyDeletewow. i love how the DK Synergy is just sort of propped up against the railing there.
ReplyDeletei put the pic on SF that he send me,strangely i mailed him to buy one of his ps3300,got a mail back (with the pic)where he say 'one is reserved',waiting on mony for the other,i mailed back to ask where it is located, and the answhere whas:
ReplyDeletehe wait on the money, and the 2 units where on hold... all this between a couple of minutes, but the add that is whas for sale whas already way longer on the net!
strange..
what happened to jeff koepper's claim that this was HIS studio?
ReplyDeletedoes this guy normally lie?
I suspect Jeff didn't post the claim, I was suspicious too because although Jeff has a nice studio but i was pretty sure he didn't have a PS-3300 never mind 2 of them.
