A6 Moogy Bass arpeggio

"A little demo showing some bass capabilities of the Andromeda... Just one mono voice (no unison) playing its internal arpeggiator. At around 00:50 resonance is increased and consequentially the volume drops. At 01:25 resonance goes back to 0. No EQ or FXs."

  1. what's the weird high pitch whine and high noise floor?

    it's kinda odd.

  2. It sounds good here. Maybe you have some problems with flash or something?

  6. This does not sound Moogy at all....Moogs are smooth and silky, this is harsh and cold.....again, not impressed with the A6.

  8. I have an Andromeda.

It is the 'dry martini' of synths.

    Bombay Sapphire for sure.

  9. I used to be a non-believer concerning the A6. I couldn't imagine that Alesis could make a GREAT analog synth. Then when I heard the bad Euro-Happy-Hardcore presets, I felt, yeah this synth is no better than any other gimmicky VA, just like I suspected. Eventually I had the opportunity to sit down, turn off the seq and fx, and make some basic patches with it and I was hooked! I've been fortunate enough to compare it to the OB expander, OB-8, OB-MX, JP-6, MKS-80, JX3P and other polyphonics, and I still feel that overall the A6 is the best micro-controlled poly-synth ever. It's an amazing amalgam of classic synths, and it's available NOW! That's not to say that it's a subjective matter. There are plenty of other great Polys, such as the Chroma, Synthex, Prophet, CS-80 etc...

  10. This is one of several A6 sounds I've heard in demo form, that make me hope the programmer will share in sysex patch form. If you know what I mean.

  11. Hi Mike, I´m amazed that you can´t identify a synth designed in part by yourself.
I´m not Elhardt, I´m not a lier and I don´t deserve to receive comments like that.
What? It sounds too good or too bad for an Andromeda???

  12. I just want more patches for A6 users. Colin posted a bunch, so what's your reason for upset? I don't get it.
