Crumar CPB-2 Analog Bass Pedals

Title link takes you to shots via this auction.
Details:
"Here's a very cool early 80s analog bass synth, similar to the Moog Taurus pedals. This one doesn't actually have the Crumar brand name on it, but it's the same unit as was marketed by Crumar. Made in Italy. It produces a basic analog synth bass sound, and has the essential controls for shaping the sound- see pics. It's in good condition and works, though the contacts need cleaning because sometimes it retriggers itself a bit erratically. It's in good cosmetic condition too, with only minor scuffs/scrapes and some dust. Comes with the original schematics, though there's a small chunk of paper missing from that. This is a heavy/sturdy synth, built like a tank!"

  1. I actually owned a set of these in 1984, as my taurus mk1's were lost in a fire. (other "new" vintage gear also) They had a lot of the same boom and bass but less flexible, w/no presets. The wheels seemed better than the pads for vol.and decay. Best of all, you could "Tom Sawyer" very well with them. Now I can't even find a set of them for sale anywhere!

  2. Hi Anonymous,
I have a CPD-2 for sale. Hardly used and everything works. I have the schematics too if you are interested.
Its the Music Technology version, which is the JV with Crumar in the early 80's. Made in Italy Serial #0073.

    Best Offer.
