  1. As if anyone cares to hear the opinion of an aging and egocentric prog-rocker.

You're basing your Jordan-bashing comments on what, exactly? Have you personal experience with him, or are you simply making assumptions?

Jordan is one of the most humble people I've ever met. He's an incredibly nice person and as decent human being as you will ever meet.

Putting aside his Juliard credentials, he is without a doubt, the most accomplished and naturally talented musician I've ever met. The keyboard is a extension of his will (and wit).

He is, in a word, a musical genius. As far as I can tell, he can play anything he has ever heard, flawlessly, even if he has never played it before. He can play it one key with his left hand, and another with his right. At the same time. He can modally transpose it on the fly.

Furthermore, he understands the technical aspects of synthesis better than 99.9% of the people who call themselves synthesists. The combination is devastating.

If there is a single musican alive worth listening to, in my opinion, it would be Jordan Rudess. Gosh, who knows, you might learn something.

  4. stretta, if you expect me to read all that, you're mistaken, but just glimpsing I'm seeing negative words like "bashing" thrown in, so lemme just go on the record here:

I DO NOT GIVE A SINGLE SOLITARY FUCK ABOUT WHAT YOU OR ANYONE ELSE HAS TO SAY.

    Thank you.

  10. stretta-

My computer can do all of those things. That doesn't make it a good musician. Just like any other algorithmically concocted composition, JR's music is dull and boring.
