ASM2-Wizard Etched

via Mark Pulver on AH.

"I got the etched panel for the ASM2-Wizard last night (thank you Laurie!) and I thought I'd share how it looks in the custom cabinet. This is a BIG box. I dunno that's its final location. Time to get the soldering iron out and get to this thing!

  1. Without the knobs & wires it's hard to tell this from a potentially Photoshopped image (the front panel anyway). It's a big bitch though!

  2. Yep, it is real though. Mark isn't one to take us on a ride, at least I don't think he is. : ) Click on the link under MORE at the bottom for some previous posts on the ASM.

  3. It looks like the plate's made of felt, i.e. no reflection on it. Something that big wouldn't be that consistent. Also, the compression artifacts seem different on it than everywhere else.. Maybe its just a weird picture.

  7. Impressive work but - isn't it wasting a bit of space? Is it MacBeth envy or something?

I've admired that ASM-2 layout before but I had no idea it was that massive. I was thinking like 60% of that.

I was expecting a 19" rack. This photo is like twice that.
