  1. Same guy's selling a Memorymoog, zero feedbacks, and a very random alphanumerical eBay handle.

    Smells like scam spirit.

  2. Yeah, I felt the exact same way. Plus all of his auctions are private, always a shady sign. Not only that, but those elka pics look very familiar, I am almost sure I have seen them somewhere before.

  3. I would stay away from this auction. I emailed the seller and he offered to sell my the synth for 895 UK pounds, which is well below market value. He refused to use and escrow company for the transaction, but instead claimed he had a special eBay account which would protect buyers for high value items. I could find no record of this type of account on eBay. I smell a rat!!

  4. I would do pick up in person only, in a public place with outlets and head phones to test it. Or be sure to bring some buddies along.

  5. Thats the thing, the seller will not meet in person or accept escrow or paypal. This is most definitely a scam.

  6. Matrix are you that clueless to not have seen this as an obvious scam? You're just helping the scammers.

  7. Apologies. I tried to play big daddy once and it didn't work out.

As for the scam enlighten me. I'm seeing that you can pay by Paypal via credit card and I don't see mention of not being able to pick it up in person.

  10. He said he wouldn't have time for cash on collection and would sell it now for £800! Very dodgy!

  12. Sorry to chime in late, but in response to matrixs post regarding my comment, (the fifth one down) he must have added the paypal auction later to make the scam seem more legit because it wasn't there when I made the comment. And about the pick up, I emailed him and asked about it and the answer I got was absolutely not and that he would not use an escrow company either. From all of that, I have to draw the conclusion that this is indeed a scam. My two cents, but I am almost positive this is a scam.

To reduce spam, comments for posts older than one week are not displayed until approved, usually same day. Do not insult people. For items for sale, do not ask if it is still available. Check the auction link and search for the item. Auctions are from various sellers and expire over time. Posts remain for the pics and historical purposes. This site is meant to be a daily snapshot of some of what was out there in the world of synths.
