  1. golly if that ain't my least favorite pedal ever.

sometimes i think people have forgotten how nice bass sounds. all this treble noise. maybe since so few have full-range speakers, that as a culture we've re-factored our brains.

    i dunno

  2. I suppose people thought the original "Fuzz tones" from the 1960s were an abomination, but eventually people like Hendrix were able to find good uses for them.

There's more to this pedal than the noise and treble. By not using the FM you can get a classic analogue oscillator that will follow your pitch. When used with a synth, you are adding a classic analogue oscillator. It can be set to drone at any pitch or it can precisely follow pitch. It doesn't have to sound freaky, but there is a large and growing contingent who are looking for that sound. Here Dunnington is showing just a few of the new sounds it can make.

  3. I've heard some really awesome samples of this effect, why is it Moog makes their own pedal sound like a more ear-shattering version of a EHX Bassballs?

  4. +1 for Doktor Future

Anonymous didn't put up much of a defense there, essentially stating "There's more to it than noise, it's also an oscillator." Well, golly, gee!

This pedal is disappointing. It seems like Moog Music's attempt to grab the noise/glitch market. Grumble...
