  1. Great sound coming out of the SH... All this hot gear really deserves direct line input into the camera...

  2. the malgorithim vc bitcrusher vids are kind of what im hoping is possible with a new vsti about to emerge. i was told off the record that some parameters added a nice crunch quality.

thats how i related to the vids anyway.

  3. the camera i use doesn't have it. i do this to show off the character, and after youtube compresses the hell out of it, whats the point any way.. blah, besides, nothing like having a little room in the mix..

Record the audio to the computer and paste it with any video editing soft.

  6. but, i dont want people sampling my stuff. and i dont think high quality matters. its good enough to show you its character, then you can figure out if you want it or not, or if it sounds like you'd like it..

  9. i know your bros with the guy who does this blog, but that is some very mediocre tweeking...if you are going to go to the trouble of videoing yourself tweeking synths, why not make some sounds that are a bit more than "fisher price my first synth"? i figured people here are more discerning..

  11. personally, i love Hexfix's synth demos, and i am glad he doesn't let assholes like "Mr. Anonymous LOL" discourage him from sharing with the rest of us.

  12. Yeah, i'm not the best sound design guy ever. in fact, i don't claim to be the best at anything. i think i am ok at best on a lot of things, but what did all that get me? a record deal, thousands of fans, 13 records, a fun side project with 15 records, lots of neato gear over the last 20 years. and i get to pester and annoy snobs on the net with my less than spectacular video and synth skills :)

    all in a days fun.

  13. ...and other people, if they have any taste at all in music, get to enjoy VAC and Toxic Coma. ;)

  14. why do so many synth "demos" insist on drowning the synths in reverb? And although I appreciate your effort, I was getting sea sick watching the rolond video, that camera was jumping around like an iraqi war correspondent, a tripod or stationary camera would be a great asset to your videos, also a direct line input cuts out the annoying sounds of the clacking of those vintage keys, nice synths, nice set up, video hard to watch and sound..meh..anyhow thanks for posting it :-)

  15. hexfix, im not the biggest fan of your clips, but you deserve respect for taking the time to put them up. dont worry about the haters, theyre a dime a dozen. theyll never make anything of themselves and thats why theyre bitter. just ignore them. theyre miserable assholes and just want you to be one of them. useless turds. and if they dont like the audio quality of your camera, then they should skip over your videos. cause you werent put on this planet to make videos for assholes. :) negative assholes, sign your names next time so we know who you are. you deserve the attention.

  16. i've seen plenty of demos on youtube that were made with the camera recording the audio, and its crappy sound quality.

guess what, i still bought my modular because of it. because i could hear the main character, then i got it, and knew it was the bees knees. so what. if you are that stupid about sound quality that you cannot hear the character, well, sorry. i'm not that guy. and i make things for people like me, and if that is less than 1% of the population, so be it, i don't care..

i called up analog haven, they played stuff over the phone and sold me on it, and when i got it, i loved it. so what is the point. this audio quality doesn't matter to me one bit because it had no effect on me.

  18. Quality may not be great but I appreciate seeing how other people work and what their setup looks like. Thanks for posting.
