Finally, a compelling demo of this device.
ReplyDeletenice...
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see this a bit slowed down, but I agree w/ you streatta. This is the first video that explains wtf this is used for.
Makes me want to see more, but clearer videos.
"so it is a good and nice and good and nice sequencer
ReplyDeletefirst i set up the midi definitions, solved Archimedes cattle problem, input the differential form of ultrarelativistic equations, set the sequencer to solve a set of chaotic Kepler forms, and summoned all the powers of an Xmas tree into the unit."
that dude is a master of the hardware sequencer!
ReplyDeleteAs someone from the United States, I always find I trust when somebody with an accent tells me how easy it is more than someone with a plain-Jane Seattle accent (is there one?)- that is except someone with a southern accent (southern U.S. that is). It is a neat looking device! Does it have any built in sounds?
ReplyDeletedoes your midi input when hooked to a computer will be able to handle that ocean of midi streems?
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeletego on YouTupe.com to see the second lesson.
Cheers
Dayflight
Oh crap, now I have to get one!
ReplyDeleteThat's more like it! Good to know this can be used fast and intuitively.
ReplyDeleteOK - so now someone (doc f?) please show us how you achive your (similar) results on the Schrittmacher or other devices.. with no Keppler and no Xmas :-P
ReplyDeleteI've seen some demo's by the builder of this device and and i think it's the best midi hardware sequencer there is. But it won't fit in my analogue setup easy. Perhaps if i had 32 encore expressionits or ees-mcv7 devices :)
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteThe Octopus has no sound engine inside. Its a pure hardware midi sequencer.
To control analog devices only have CV-Input you need to have a Midi to CV Converter (e.g. from Doepfer).
