"Oberheim CPS-1 that have been modified especially for Keith Emerson back in the 1970's. We have no official documents that certify that but since it have really been modified for him, I'm saying it here on ebay and if someone knows him and ask him, he will remember this synthesizer because it's unique in the world. (the modification I mean)."

Take a look at this guy's feedback. You'll notice that he won a bunch of 1 cent auctions in the beginning to boost his feedback real quick and give people the false impression that he's a good Ebayer. Pretty sleazy!
ReplyDeleteI think it's odd that he says it's been modified but doesn't say how.
ReplyDeleteI used to have an SEM exactly like that one. Strangely, I'm not Keith Emerson, nor have I ever had his haircut.
ReplyDeleteyeah but the best mullet award for *best mullet ever* is the early 70's restyled Rod Stewart! he's the dreamiest. Ric Ocasek had a beautiful mullet, too. i don't think this seller is untrustworthy at all. i think he's the dreamiest
ReplyDeleteYou guys are nuts. Emerson is famous for his one-of-a-kind Oberheim modular synth.
ReplyDeleteagreed, this guys a scammer
ReplyDeletekeith emerson had a "mullet" or "ape drape" during the EIGHTIES, guys. just like EVERYONE ELSE.
ReplyDeletein the 70s he was rocking the Prince Valiant.
Keith never had an Oberheim SEM, customized or otherwise. Got that from the horses mouth, so to speak.
