ReplyDeleteIndeed. In particular, the synare has very very simple oscillators which cannot be easily or externally voltage controlled. They are based on cmos inverters and the tune pots are just feedback elements. Fine for a drum synth, but nothing like a moog two oscillator synth.
ReplyDeleteThe filter is 3080 based and does sound quite good. It would be possible to modify the filter and VCA for external control.
