"(this website has real audio files of the SYNTH)
- Internally the analog circuits are identical to Rolands original design
(same component types, topology, 18dB/oct resonance filter etc.) There are
no IC's used to simplify the design!
- The Mark II version has a revised MIDI interface for better control and
for example user selectable MIDI channel.
- The TBS303 is on purpose build in a desktop type housing to make real
time control by hand, better (just like the original!)"
hmmm...suspicious.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen one of those in like 10 years. $1000 BIN? yeah right!!!
ReplyDeletesuspicious or not it's a POS. Anyone who understands the 303 knows that the sequencer is the heart of the beast. Anything without the sequencer is just another 1 osc monosynth.
ReplyDeleteThe sequencer is a big part of the sound yes, but its possible to get the original sound by carefully programming via a MIDI sequencer.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention you can buy a TB style sequencer...
ReplyDeletea grand for a clone with no sequencer? dream on!
ReplyDeleteIf it were $200, I would have clicked BIN.
ReplyDelete$1000? I don't think so. I'd buy a Revolution and pocket the change for something else.
