"This is a very rare, mint condition analogue clap synthesizer module that I purchased new about 20 years ago. Made in Germany. Includes original power supply and manual/pamphlet. Can simulate the clap sound in Roland TR 909, 808, 707, 606 drum machines."

"This rare analog bass machine sounds amazing. It does have some nicks and needs a clean up (thus the price) but not only is this synth a lot of fun, it nails the classic 303 sound with midi control, all solidly built in Europe."

See this post for some additional info.

"This unit is virtually identical to the Vermona DRM1 MKII except it does not CV trigger ins, just MIDI in.

Recently tested from front panel, works and sounds great. MIDI also works but may require some configuration for 'learn' function to assign notes of your choice.

Cosmetically it's in very good shape, has some rack rash and about 5-6 tiny barely visible scratches on the front panel. Right rack ear top corner is very slightly bent (a nick about the size of a match head)"

The gold front panel really shows in this pic.

Vangelis - Blade Runner (End Titles) - Live by Kebu in Helsinki 2019

Published on Nov 21, 2019 Kebu

"Kebu's all-analog synth arrangement of Vangelis' Blade Runner (End Titles), performed live at Kuudes Linja in Helsinki, 22.5.2019.

Thanks to Mika Knuutila and Jonatan Flinck for operating the cameras, and Sebastian "Baba" Sjöblom for the light show!

Kebu performed the tune using only analog synthesizers, with some parts played live and some parts sequenced. The performance was recorded directly from the mixer to a stereo track, and was later mixed together with the ambience from the room.

Equipment used in this song: Alesis Andromeda A6; Korg Polysix, Poly 61, Mono/Poly; Roland TR-808, JX8P, Alpha Juno 1&2; DSI Tetra, Jomox AirBase99, Touched-by-sound DRM1, Oberheim Matrix 1000, Marion Prosynth, Akai MPC2500 (only for MIDI sequencing), Yamaha 01v96, Behringer X32 Rack (preamps & reverb only), Lexicon MPX1, as well as a midi patchbay and additional preamps for my mixer."

Super Rare Vintage TBS-303 MKII Bassline Mono Synth (TB-303 clone+) SN 0399058 w/ Original Box

I've only seen one of these go up for sale back in 2007. Note the font under TBS in the upper left matches Sequential Circuits font.

Details form the listing: "What happens when you take the basic analog synthesis engine of Roland's classic TB-303 bassline, add MIDI control, and put it in a seriously heavy-duty tabletop housing?

You end up with TBS Musical Instruments TBS-303 MKII!

These are extremely rare. My guess is this is one of the very few of these that were ever sold to the US.

Per the creator's website--

The following list represents some of the main features of the TBS-303 MarkII :

Analogue circuitry is nearly equivalent to the original
Fully discrete oscillator and filter section
Build-in MIDI interface requires no external SYNC24 syncbox
Slides programmable via Note overlap
Accents programmable via MIDI note-ON velocity value (>100)
User selectable MIDI channel
Better that the original ; 'Heavy-duty' housing and professional potentiometers
The TBS-303 is on purpose build in a desktop type housing to make real time filter-control by hand easier.
Dimensions (WxHxD): 250 x 170 x 65mm

Additional cool features:

External audio input
Infinite accent button
Infinite slide/portamento button

Please check the website for additional info and audio samples.

The sound of this box is quite awesome. The top-mounted slide/accent buttons allow for additional realtime creativity. The external input lets you use this in ways that no original TB-303 can. Best of all, the MIDI implementation gives you all kinds of sequencing possibilities that you didn't have with the original.

Sure, you can make it sound just like a TB-303-- or you can use it in new and creative ways."

TBS DRM1

"This is a fairly rare gold MK1 model of Vermona's famous DRM1 analog drum synthesizer. It has been at the core of my music making for over ten years but I'm downsizing my setup and will sadly be parting with this great instrument.

It is 100% analog and features 8 drum voices including three pitched drums (kicks or toms), a snare, cymbal, hihat, clap, and FM "multi" drum. Each channel can be manual triggered via on board push button and has dedicated pan and volume controls. The other controls vary for each sound channel. There is a master volume too.

There are dedicated outs for each channel (Great for multi tracking), mixed stereo outs, MIDI In and Thru, as well as 12V DC input (adapter included).

This is an amazing machine and a piece of electronic music history."

Polyend Seq and Poly - Pop Music feat. Mutable Instruments Edges and Anushri

Published on Sep 13, 2017 isvisible / isinvisible

"I've had the Polyend Seq sequencer for a few weeks now, but not really had much of a chance to try it out, so this is my first simple effort... and it ended up spitting out pop music!

The melody and chords are going via the Poly midi to cv module to the Mutable Instruments Edges module and the bassline via Poly to the Anushri module.

The only other accompaniment is percussive, from the Touched by Sound DRM1 sequenced by Seq and the Wurlitzer Swingin' Rhythm (modified with trigger in's) sequenced by the Iron Ether Pithoprakta.

There's lots of other stuff patched up, but that's all for another track I'm working on."

SN B 01889

"The clap sound can also be triggered via MIDI (on any channel), and will respond to velocity information. The note that it's mapped to is the C# above middle C (note number 61).

The Clap Cussion is incredibly versatile, creating a myriad of clap sounds via 7 synthesis parameter knobs on the front panel.

In great shape and would certainly make an excellent addition to your electronic instrument collection."

HDB was related to TBS, MAM, and Vermona. Not sure what the exact relationship was. If anyone knows, feel free to share. It is interesting to see the HDB label only on this unit. Curious if any other synths have the label. Speaking of, I realize I had a channel label for the others here on the site, but not HDB, so I added it starting with this post. Click here for a search that will bring up previous HDB posts.

Update: worth noting is the engineer behind TBS and MAM was Stefan Schmidt of the new Schmidt poly analog monster synth as mentioned here.
