Note the Vermona Graphic Equalizer on top. The listing is for the String Melody II only.
"Power supply recapped, 3 prong cord attached, refurbished by the magicians at Bell Tone Synth Works in 2022. This synth is ready for another few decades of lush stringing.
This is a classic string synth like the ARP Solina, but with more features.
The keyboard is split in the middle so that you can have a different mixture of Cello, Viola, and Violin and different Attack and Sustain settings for each section. There is also a bass oscillator and a feature called “perc” which is a deep, percussive sound similar to an upright bass.
This Logan String Melody II is in good cosmetic condition. The tolex is a bit worn, but is in overall great shape. The Veneer has a few splits or cracks. There is some minor dirt and scratches, as to be expected with a 40-year-old synth!"

One of my favorite tracks from the early 80s. Vienna by Ultravox (1981) Written by Midge Ure, Billy Currie, Chris Cross and Warren Cann
featured: Moog Minimoog from the year 1978, Logan String Melody2 and the Linndrum
This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks. My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers. Check out the original songs with the original artists here on YouTube. Thank you.

"This is a very unique piece.
Is perfectly working comes with original case and it’s in perfect conditions.
No stretches no marks.
The Logan String Melody designed by Ing. Giuliano Costantini for Logan was a portable keyboard produced in two versions from 1973 to 1982. Manufactured in Italy, it was sold under both the Logan brand name and re-badged as both a Hohner and Vox product. The Vox version was called The String Thing but still featured the Logan brand name on the back of the case.
The keyboard consists of four octaves split into two nearly equal sized ranges. In each of these ranges a combination of three string sounds can be mixed using faders labelled Cello, Viola and Violin. Each string sound is pitched one octave apart. In addition to the separate sets of faders for the string sounds, each range has a sustain and release fader. The lower range also features a simple monophonic synthesiser that is controlled from using faders labelled Bass and Perc.
On the first version, there is a button labelled Orchestra that has hard wired settings and disables the faders for the string sounds. The second version, the String Melody II introduced in 1977, added more buttons for further hard wired settings."
"This is a vintage string machine, around 50 years old, so be realistic about its technical condition and its appearance.
Known issues:
* High noise floor.
*One key sticks on full sustain.
*The "Orchestra" button does not stick when pressed in.
* The wooden top cover that (when opened) expose the electronics are missing a screw.
It needs some service to perform as new but it also works as is. Plug n play."

One of my favorite 80s songs ever
Alphaville - Forever Young (1984)
I used the Roland JX-3P for all synth pads (in original Jupiter-8).
The JX-3p is the best synth in my opinion for classic JP-8 sounds. Nearly identical sound.
I used the Logan String Melody 2 for all analog string sounds.
The add digital sounds are played with the PPG wave 2.2 synthesizer and the solo sound at the end of the track with the ARP Odyssey Mk.3
Drums are LinnDrum, Simmons, Samples
The Roland JX-3P Synthesizer from the year 1983 is a fantastic analog synth with the typical 80s sound. Here can you find the full JX-3P playlist with single sound demos and one synth demo tracks. Enjoy.

"Whilst taking a holiday in Italy we stopped off at Museo del Synth Marchigiano for a couple of days and this is the account of what I experienced there.
Enormous thanks to everyone at the museum, particularly Riccardo and Paolo.
"A quick demo of each keyboard instrument connected to the Roland PA-120 mixer. The audio is recorded directly from the line out of the mixer. The reverb comes from the in-built spring reverb in the mixer and the echo/delay comes from the Fulltone Tube Tape Echo connected to the effects loop / echo ins and outs of the mixer. Sorry for the terrible camera work.
