New Modules from Cwejman

2007-08
The M-ATT4 is a four channel attenuator and it's dedicated for
controlling of the MX-4S, the VCEQ-4 and the RES-4.
The M-ATT4 has some useful functions, such as:
* Individual gain and offset controls for each channel.
* Spread and master offset voltage control for all four channels.
The M-ATT4 will be available in 1.5-2 months time.

The VC-FCS is a true stereo version of the VC-FC.
The VC-FCS will be introduced in 1-1.5 month time."

I missed these. BTW, if anyone ever finds out about new modules from any manufacturer or any other post worthy synth content, feel free to send it in like everyone else. You can find my contact info on the very bottom of the items on the right.

  1. same pic for both modules???

it's weird that offsets are clustered in a group of four and the levels likewise. would have been more natural (to me anyway) to have the offsets all in one row, and the levels all in one row either above or below.

  2. Yes, this is a poor design. This is a terrible necessary module because Cwejman screwed up the design of the REs-4, MX-4 and others by having no attenuators on the inputs and also disabling the manual pots whenever you plug into the input, thus destroying any ability to offset the incoming CV. I complained to Wowa about this and he agreed but screw ne the modules I already have. Well, one's gone and I'm boycotting Cwejman modules until he fixes these issues. I bet this'll be $500 or more too to take care of something that should have been handled on the original modules. MEH!!!

  3. I noticed on electro-music that you initially recommended the cwejman vco and then later said it was lame. Is this because of the lack of attenuators or because of the sound?
I knew the cwejman stuff was lacking attenuators but I didn't know that plugging things in disabled the panel controls.
I still want the frequency shifter.

On another note...I saw you lamenting the lack of good buffers on one of the mmm threads. What don't you like about the asol unit? I was going to ask before, but those threads were crazy and the question really isn't about the mmm.

  4. The VCO is fine on the Attenuation section. Better than the Plan-B or Asys oscs which have no PWM levels. It came in to disfavor for me when I started getting more vintage sounding oscs. Also, my D-LFO doubles as an Osc when I need it with the same sound.

I have found the attenuation disabling the knobs to be evident so far on the Res-4 and MX-4s which urks me. I may buy this stupid attenuator anyway out of necessity. Plus, it's kinda cool and adds cool features. I have the Freq Shifter and it's perfect.

I have lots of Asol buffers MX-224(5 or 6). They are very useful and also the MX61 which is a great utility mixer.

  5. Hello ReWire I know this post is old, but when you say you've been using more 'vintage' sounding VCO's what kind are you refering to? are these FRAC? because I mean if you go euro you only have a certain amount of choices for VCO's, anyhow just curious because i'd like to have something sounded more vintage, even though I like my ASYS VCO's just fine.
