Don’t be fooled by its size – the microKORG creates sounds of truly epic proportions, which is why it’s become the darling of so many international performers and producers. It combines the sounds of the world’s best loved analogue vintage synths, providing you with a sonic arsenal including ultra-fat bass lines, screaming leads plus massive textured sound washes. And if that isn’t enough to get you leaping about, it’s got a built-in vocoder, allowing you to create a further wealth of high-octane sounds and effects."

That doesn't look that great though .. but I'm not a fan of the new Korg 'wannabe' stuff any way. Does it actually look good to anyone?
ReplyDeleteI kinda like it. I have a standard one with white keys and if I had the choice, I'm pretty sure I'd go with the black.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of with Stephen... Poly 800 with reverse keys? I like. This, not so much.
ReplyDeleteI like it...but I also like the Microkorg in general.
ReplyDeletei was shopping for a small controller when i ended up getting one. i probably would have got the black if it was available then too. i only really use it as a controller though. it fits in a pc keyboard tray which is damn handy.
ReplyDeletei've tried to make patches on it and i'm not imressed with the interface. the vocoder is easily outpaced by a digitech talker and any real synth. i neglect it but i can't buy a controller, they seem empty.
The Poly 800 black keys looks good because the case is black too. I'll admit this doesn't look as cool but it is tempting.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think this thing looks like a piece of junk regardless of the color of its keys.
ReplyDeleteThey shoulda redone the colors for the rest of the unit. Make the whole thing a phptonegative... why not? Here's a quick Photoshop job for some inspiration. It'd be sweet if the mod wheels looked like that!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what that typo was all about, but I meant "photonegative." :o\
ReplyDeleteDave's got graphic attitude!
