  1. Hey Moogulator!

Was the Voyager, the left synth, the summed outputs (two LPF simultaneously?) because it's weird how the left synth's self-oscillation is ratty, while the right synth (MacBeth) is pure.

I haven't spent enough time on a Voyager to know about this.

  2. left side Voyager right side M5. In the forum thread it is also described that the M5 has a more "aggressive" basic sound and a wider overall range - i.e. Filter Env Depth @ Voyager = max and M5= level 6. This comparison was really only about the filter detail, not the overall sound capacity

  3. Yeah, I noticed that the M5 had more high end. That's probably due to the wider range of the env depth. Funny, because it made the Voyager sound fatter. Also, It sounds like the Voyager's envs tend to clamp down quicker after a certain point, whereas the M5 env has a more natural response. I thought the resonance on M5 sounded too separate from the overall sound. A little clinical, but very high quality.I prefer the Voyager's filter grit.

  4. I love the Voyager.

The M5 is okay, but not my cup of tea.

His M3X however, is pretty awesome.

    The X-Factor looks jucy.

I wonder why he stopped updating his web site?

  5. He updates it about as regularly as he always has.

  6. I'm familiar with both the voyager and M5. I prefer the sound of MacBeth filters(as well as envelopes)to the voyager's. The MacBeth sound has more 'presence.discrete'(to my ears). Not to knock the voyager...
They actually sound great together in the comparison.Nice job Hosh!
