"It appears to be a Simmons clone. No other images appear to be available online.
Appears to have SSM2044 per channel, and lots of other nice things. Quite solid in design, all balanced, had a 9 pin Molex on the back so you can hook up all your triggers in one easy connector, would have been convenient on the road."

ReplyDeletethis maxim thing is also known as suzuki drums
ReplyDeleteit sounds totally analog, a bit like a 606 rather than a simmons.
strange machine indeed
actually mine is
suzuki roadworks sd 700 on the front
max II sdm 1100 on the back!
xlr in and outs, 1/4" jack outs for the master plus an effects loop
worth getting one, i have had drumfire, ultimate percussion, simmons etc. i prefer this tho not as good as syncussion.
I have one of these in my collection.
ReplyDeleteI would say it's most probably the best analog drum brain there is. Identical sounds and programming to a Simmons SDSV but with much better build quality and routing.
