"AVdrum is an audio video step sequencer and drum machine. You have the ability to switch audio or video of a movie clip On/ Off in realtime to compose AV sequences. This truly innovative software takes the concept of step sequencing to the next level.
You may trigger AV clips on AVdrum via computer keyboard or a MIDI controller like a drum machine. Using MIDI clock, it will sync to a master music hardware or software device."

Lasse Gjertsen-And for all people curious of what software I used for the videos: For the cartoons I drew the animations by hand, scanned them and colored them in Adobe Photoshop. Everything is edited it together in Adobe Premiere. For the live action videos I used Photoshop for the weird effects (editing frame by frame) and Premiere for videoediting. I use FL Studio to make music.. I also write more on how I made the different videos in their descriptions.
ReplyDeleteon a similarly edited vid-"Drumsolo" using only a camcorder, my mouth and what looks like timeconsuming editing, but it really wasn't, haha, it took me a day in total :P NO IT'S NOT PROPER BEATBOXING, I KNOW. But that wasn't my aim either, Jesus Crist.
Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI remember this from 100 years ago. Up there with that Japanese guy that plays wicked drums on a crappy keyboard.
ReplyDeleteEncore!
In the future, everyone wears tights.
ReplyDeleteAbout 2-3 years ago I saw Meat Beat Manifesto in concert. In concept this AVdrum think seems very similar to the MAX patch they were running to trigger video clips in sync with the music. It was pretty awesome.
ReplyDeleteHere you go Zamise: link. I couldn't find my original post, so I put a new one up.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me a LOT of EBN, a "video remixing" group in the early nineties. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteIf you all like synced videos a bunch, they don't get much better than from Mr. Tom Ellard (Severed Heads). Check them out here:

It was on his forum and mailing list that I came across this stuff.
