"This is a classic Oberheim synthesizer! It belonged to a professional musician and powers on. It has been modified for pressure sensitivity and separate audio out."
Anyone know what the pressure sensitivity mod might be? The audio outs I'm guess are the individual outs for each voice on one of the side panels of the Matrix-12 although there aren't any shots in the set.
It turns out that some of the earlier Matrix 12s didn't have aftertouch as standard; I'd guess the "pressure sensitivity mod" was a retrofit.
ReplyDeletehmmm maybe its the same with the audio outs...
ReplyDeletei had one once and it had the individual outs on the back...
i thought it was standard then as you could get a kit to give it cv/gate in/outs...
never seen one without the outs on the back... looks kinda bare...
I have one of the earlier M12s. It does not have aftertouch. Aftertouch became a standard feature later on as I recall, and was available as an upgrade for earlier units.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the audio outs, I believe the M12s with the output jacks on the side was a factory option. If there were extra jacks on the back, it may be the Oddernmart mod, which was 12 audio inputs (or 6 for the Xpander).
