Pretty sure that's a P5, not a MemMoog. You can see the P5 more clearly in "I Can't Go For That."
ReplyDeleteHall and Oates seem to be all over the place again suddenly. They must be on a PR campaign to sell some greatest hits album or something.
ReplyDeleteAlthough there is no real synth content on this, it's a much better video... in a 'so bad, it's good' kind of way.

this is such a tune. surely their best. Never seen the vid before!
ReplyDeleteOne of the reasons this song works so well (aside from the great synth parts) is that the verse and chorus are written in perfect complements *and* the vocal goes from this long washy echo in the verse to this tight slap in the chorus. Really effective and rare these days as most pop music is so reverb-shy.
