Kurzweil K2000 Buchla Waveshaping

via Javier as a follow up to this post:

"Hearing those buchla comparison reminded me the waveshaping capabilities of my beloved K2000, so I tried to make a similar sound. I´m not saying it sounds identical or anything like that, but it could be more alike with some more time for fine-tuning. (envs are faster as it plays higher, etc). I did it listening to '259_Timbre_Sweep.mp3', but I think it sounds more like '261e_Timbre_Sweep.mp3'." Links in the previous post.

  1. Damn good job! Sounds real close, more like the 261e. Are there knobs or midi cc numbers to voltage control that waveshaper?

  2. what's the word on the development of waveshaping as part of the Kurzweil.

  3. Rewire: Thnx! You can use any CC or any internal source to control various waveshaper and warp functions (depending on the algorithm). I think the K2000 was inspired in part by Buchla instruments.
