Not sure where to find the schematics, but I'm checking with inverseroom on the manual. I'll update the post if I get it and I'll ask about schematics as well.
Thanks got that! It'll be great just having a user manual around for it. I'll put that in my links. If ever a service manual appears let me know! I think probably it's pretty similar to the other DCAO's of the day from a peek inside and the old Akai description that I archived on the ax80 page. I'm trying to start using the following terms:
VCO : Anything with a pure vco ;-)
VCDO : Things like Crumar DS-1 that actually use an analog CV to control a monostable multivibrator oscillator.
DCO : Stuff like this probably though to be more specific we might call it a DCAO. JUNO's, JX's, Kawai SX210/240, Crumar Bit One etc.
VDCO : Shortest acronym I can come up with for things like the DK600 which have a vco up front and digital frequency generation and an analog saw generator.
DGO : Anything where the waveform is generated purely digitally. Eg Kawai K3, Korg DW's, Ensoniq ESQ-1/SQ-80, Samplers that have analog filters etc.
thanks! i still have one of these sitting under my bed. maybe i'll dust it off and try to get a decent beep or two out of it...
ReplyDeleteThe manual link goes to some dumb links page that has nothing useful. Does anyone have the schematics up online? -Bob / Sound Doctorin'
