Another Waldorf Blofeld demo from Stefan Trippler. This one showcases the wavetables.

Note that with the Blofeld you can assign an independent wavetable to each oscillator while on the microwave/XT both oscillators share the same wavetable.

ReplyDeleteIts more like the Komplexer is basically a software Micro-Q with a few bells and whistles. ;)
...The Blofeld is an evolution from the Micro-Q...so there will still be plenty of similarities.
There is some more info on the Komplexer here. It's based on the MicroQ and has wavetables. No mention of independent wavetables per osc and no detailed specifications to compare.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty impressed with this clip... we tend to think of wavetable synths as being gritty-sounding, but this is pretty smooth.
ReplyDeleteI'm really liking the sound of this thing for the price.
